When in Pondicherry, if you wish to explore the heritage buildings in a French Colony, consider visiting the Le Dupleix Hotel.
Built-in the 18th century as the residence of the Mayor of Pondicherry, the Le Dupleix stands as one of the most important corners of the French Town.
Did you know that the Le Dupleix was razed down once? This property was later restored to its former glory and converted into a hotel. (Info Courtesy: Hotel Website)
Le Dupleix Hotel Pondicherry Hotel displays authentic woodwork and antique textiles worth exploring.
We tried some Continental and Indian cuisine at Le Dupleix Pondicherry, and our food experience was excellent.
The Continental Seafood Platter (grilled) consisting of Squid, Prawns, Lobster, Red Sapper, Bread, and some herbs was the most expensive.
The Continental De Foulet consisted of Baked Chicken Thigh, Mashed Potato, and some veggies, our heaviest breakfast.
We also ordered some refreshing mocktails, which were more expensive than the strong bear. Yes, you can go for liquor as well.
Even though the food was expensive at Le Dupleix Pondicherry, it’s all worth trying once. It’s about the experience you get there.
