Suppose you are a regular to Frazer Town. In that case, there are chances that you would have come across Sapthagiri Naidu’s Eating Point, a small restaurant at Wheeler Road.

I learned from the restaurant owners that they have been operating this restaurant for 36 years. I am not sure whether they started the restaurant in the same building.

This Naidu restaurant at Frazer Town is small

As you can see in the image, the Sapthagiri Naidu restaurant is small and can accommodate less than 10 guests at a time. The best you can do is opt for a parcel and enjoy the mutton biryani at home.

Here is some information I gathered from this more than three-decades-old restaurant. This restaurant opens as early as 6 am, and noticed they serve mutton biryani, mutton paya and appam. The chicken biryani is available from noon.

Naidu Restaurant Mutton Biryani

I ordered mutton biryani, which surprisingly cost me Rs. 80/-. It is surprising because a Masala Dosa costs almost this amount at some veg restaurants in Bengaluru. So how do they manage to sell Mutton Biryani at Rs 80/-?

The biryani rice was prepared from regular rice and tasted good. The mutton pieces were small, which is OK for the price they are selling. But the same recipe with Jeera Sambha rice would have been awesome.

Quality and taste-wise, I have no complaint keeping the price point in view. However, I was disappointed with the mutton pieces. Not because it was small but because it was hard to chew.

Ambiance

The Sapthagiri Naidu restaurant at Wheeler road is small, and there is nothing to talk about the ambiance. I would have dined there, but due to other commitments, I had to pack the mutton biryani home.
